1956

In the mid-20th century, Vasco Vannelli and his wife Irma opened a small pastry shop. Within a few years, they became a landmark in Cortona, supplying over 100 coffee shops daily. Their passion, tenacity, and dedication to work were the foundations of our journey.

1975

At just 18, their son Luciano Vannelli opened “La Pasticceria Vannelli” in Camucia. After 48 years, this pastry shop is still considered the go-to place for breakfast. Thanks to the quality of its pastries and impeccable service, it has been regarded as the family pastry shop for three generations.

As children, we ran behind the counter of our father's coffee shop, amidst the clatter of cups, the aroma of croissants, and people's smiles. A special place: the coffee shop was our Luna Park, and making coffee was our favorite game.

This is where we began to learn and discover the beauty of the coffee world.

2019

In 2019, we founded our specialty roastery in Cortona, in the heart of Tuscany.

Before embarking on this project, we traveled, studied, and worked all over the world, engaging with some of the most interesting realities in specialty coffee. Competitions, international collaborations, and thousands of coffees tasted helped us build a clear vision: every bean has a story to tell, and our job is to bring it intact to the cup.

Our roastery was born from this idea. We select high-quality coffees directly from the best origins and roast them with precision, respecting the identity of each variety and the work of those who cultivate it. We don't chase standardized roasts or homogenized tastes: we seek balance, transparency, and character.

For us, specialty coffee is much more than just coffee. It is research, curiosity, and respect for the entire supply chain, from the plantation to the cup. Each roast represents our way of interpreting coffee: with passion, expertise, and the desire to share an authentic experience.
